We are expanding the eastern pitch at Carlson Reserve to align with the main pitch and have published a draft tree plan to show which trees need to be removed and the indicative locations of where the new trees may be planted.

As previously communicated, some trees in the south-east corner of the reserve will need to be removed, a decision supported by the Council’s Horticulture team based on their age, value and species.

In confirming the draft plan, 2 additional trees have been identified as requiring removal (bringing the total to 9 trees). We will increase the number of trees we plant to 18 to offset this change, and ensure all new trees are chosen to be sensitive to the reserve's current vegetation.

This project will create more opportunities for local clubs to expand and promote soccer in Clayton.
