Feedback Report on Golf Facilities

21 May 2021

Council acknowledges that the re-purposing of the driving range will impact some golfers and, as such, was keen to hear from the golfing community to better understand current usage and what practice facilities are important.

An online survey for golf facility users was held from 12 March to 18 April and a listening post was conducted at the Glen Waverley Golf Course on 17 April.

Users of the golf course and driving range, including members and non-members, were personally invited to participate in the survey and listening post by email. The survey was also promoted on Council’s Shape Monash online community engagement platform, via social media, and posters in the golf pavilion.

The listening post at the Glen Waverley Golf Course was staffed by Council officers working on the tennis project and representing the areas of Recreation Services, Traffic and City Design.

The feedback report has been added to the document library on the Tennis in Monash page.

Council actions resulting from the golf facilities consultations are:

  • The feedback report will be provided to the architect to consider preferences in the design of recreational facilities at the relevant stage of the project.
