Portland Street North Reserve Playspace upgrade works underway
We are excited to start works at Portland Street North Reserve playspace in Mulgrave.
We previously asked for your ideas on how we can improve this valued space and shared a draft concept plan for your feedback. Thank you to everyone who contributed your thoughts on the project.
The upgrade works will begin on 15 April 2024, and we anticipate completion by late June 2024.
Some highlights of the new playspace include:
- Play unit
- Multi-person rocker
- Trampoline
- Double swing including a basket swing
- Climbing net
- Nature play elements.
To ensure the safety of the community, we will close the playspace during construction and place site fencing around the playspace until the works are completed.
There may be minor traffic disruption during the day when supplies are delivered. We apologise for this inconvenience.

In 2022, we sought ideas and feedback from the local community for a new playspace at Portland Street North Reserve, Mulgrave.
We incorporated some of the community’s ideas into an exciting draft concept plan and sought community feedback for it earlier this year.
