1 November 2025

On Sunday 5 October, the stand was packed to the rafters as we officially opened the new state of the art pavilion and grandstand at Jack Edwards Reserve in Oakleigh.

City of Monash Mayor, Cr Paul Klisaris, officially opened the facility, joined by Federal Member for Hotham, Clare O’Neil; State Member for Oakleigh, Steve Dimopoulos; and Kon Kavalakis, chairman of the Oakleigh Cannons Football Club.

Delivered in partnership with the Australian Government, Victorian Government and the Oakleigh Cannons, the $14.7 million facility includes:

  • A 500-seat undercover grandstand
  • Upgraded sportsground lighting to 500 lux
  • Four female friendly change rooms
  • Two female friendly referee rooms
  • A media room
  • Function room
  • A commercial kitchen and downstairs kiosk
  • Tenant club storage spaces

With the facility now open for action, we look forward to seeing the Oakleigh Cannons grow and thrive.
