Get ready for a kick – we’re almost done

27 March 2025

Footballers in Oakleigh can start lacing their boots, with the new Jack Edwards Reserve Pavilion construction remaining on track for completion by September 2025.

When finished, the game changing facility - home of the Oakleigh Cannons Football Club - will have a 500-seat undercover grandstand and National Premier League standard facilities that will help the club grow its programs, including those for women’s and girls' teams.

Recently, new 500 lux sports lighting has been installed and is now operating. The new building’s concrete slab work has been completed, including the grandstand seating terrace, while all structural, pre-cast panels and roofing have been installed.

Work is currently being undertaken with internal walls and services installation.

The project budget of $14.73M includes an $8.2M commitment from Council, $4M from the Victorian Government, $2M from the Australian Government and $530,000 from the Oakleigh Cannons.
