Thank you to everyone who took the time to share feedback about the draft concept plan Jacaranda Road Reserve’s pocket playspace.

The feedback report is now available, summarising what you told us and how that feedback will be used moving forward.

Connecting pathway

Most people supported the proposed pathway between Jacaranda Road and Cootamundra Drive. As a result, funding to build the path will be included with the fitness hub installation.

The path will be completed this year, as it is now being delivered as part of a standalone project, separate from the playspace upgrade.

What you told us

There was overall support for the design. Your top play elements were:

  1. Small trampoline
  2. Multi-play unit with slides
  3. Double swings
  4. Small zipline

Some respondents raised concerns about potential noise from the musical chimes. As a result, we’ll choose a different play element to minimise noise.

Next steps

We will use your feedback to refine the design in line with the project’s budget and scope.

Funding for the construction of the playspace will be considered in the 2026–27 Council budget. If confirmed, we will share the final concept plan before construction.

Fitness hub and pathway works to start

The fitness hub and pathway is a standalone project funded through Council’s 2025–26 budget. Works to install it will start in February 2026 and finish by July 2026.
