In December – February, we asked community members about their experiences when participating in Council community engagement and what good engagement looks like to them.

Based on community feedback we have refined our principles which guides how we plan, design, implement, evaluate and report on community engagement.

You can find the full details in the Engagement Summary Report.

Who we heard from:

  • 272 community members

    • Who expressed interest in participating in our focus groups, and
    • shared feedback on what we're doing well and what we need to get better at.
  • 66 people at our focus groups

    • Who attended 1 of 4 sessions, and
    • Shared their experiences and barriers to participating in community engagement.
