We are excited to share plans for a new pathway around the perimeter of Carlson Reserve on Clayton Road, as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing this popular community recreation hub.

This pathway will connect with existing paths, making it easier for people to access the different areas and facilities within the reserve. The project is supported by the Federal Government through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.

What we're doing

Please see the final concept plan above for the new pathway. We have designed it to be sensitive to the surrounding landscape and infrastructure.

As part of the pathway construction, we’ll need to remove two trees in the northwestern corner where the sports field meets the car park. To offset this, we will plant new trees in suitable locations.

Additionally, we will install a chain mesh fence at the end of the cricket nets to ensure the safety of pedestrians walking along the pathway.

The construction of this project has been allocated funding in the 2024/25 Council budget. Work is scheduled to begin in early 2025 and is expected to be completed by April 2025.

We appreciate your patience and look forward to delivering an improved facility in your neighbourhood.
