We are planning to upgrade the pocket playspace at Winbourne Road Reserve in Mount Waverley, but before we start designing, we want to hear from the people who use it.

Is there something you especially want to see changed or retained? Is there something about the site that might be significant for the theme or look of the new design?

If there are children or young people in the household, please encourage them to get involved.

We look forward to hearing your ideas and thank you for your feedback. Together we can create a wonderful space.

Consultation closes Sunday 4 August 2024.

Design guidelines

The playspace will be a 'pocket' classification, which means it is a very small playground usually used by children in the immediate vicinity and accessed by foot. Caters for residents within 400 metres and is guided by the following:

  • Combination of 3 to 5 items of play equipment for toddlers and pre-schoolers
  • Designs include accessible features and bench seating
  • It should complement play provision in nearby playspaces
  • Facilitate opportunities for social interaction
  • Inclusive designs and wheelchair accessible path system
  • Something that contributes to a unique local identity (Playspace Design Principles & Considerations)
