Due to the lack of overwhelming evidence and preference for a dedicated seniors’ exercise park and based on the previous strategic direction of Council, it is recommended that the future design and upgrade of neighbourhood-scale active recreation hubs, identified in the Active Recreation Opportunities Strategy be considerate and inclusive of intergenerational exercise opportunities for everyone, including adult and seniors.

The three sites identified as part of the Seniors Exercise Park Feasibility Study be incorporated into the Active Recreation Opportunities Strategy and be delivered as neighbourhood scale intergenerational recreation hubs.
