Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the community consultation on the Reusable Nappy Study. We heard from 262 Monash residents, and 2282 residents across the participating Council areas.
In numbers, the study:
The community consultation sought to understand the barriers parents and carers face to using more reusable nappies and less disposable nappies. The Reusable Nappy Feasibility Study proposes two key recommendations.
The two key target groups identified are expectant parents and disposable nappy users, driven by convenience. With more detailed information on appropriate channels in the Report. We want to hear your views on nappies – whether you're a parent-to-be; a parent who has only used disposable nappies; tried reusable nappies and decided they aren’t for you; or you’re a reusable nappy champion!
Your insights will inform research into a best practice reusable nappy program designed to reduce household waste that ends up in landfill.
