The Victorian Government's Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) would like to hear your thoughts on its two year pilot of Future Homes. Monash is one of the municipalities nominated for this pilot program.

Future Homes is a pilot project that proposes a different approach to the current planning process. The key differences are:

• It offers high quality, ready-made apartment designs to appeal to families, and to be situated around activity centres, and along main / collector roads
• Mandatory design requirements that go above and beyond the current requirements for apartment developments
• A fast-tracked approvals process, which allows for resident feedback on applications, but removes the appeals process once a Council decision is made.

Council will make a formal decision on whether to participate in the pilot, after DELWP provide us with the results of this survey.
