Project update - November 2022
Monash Council has adopted its Monash Arts and Culture Strategy 2025, a new whole-of-City vision to reignite resilient and thriving creative industries.
Project update
The draft Monash Arts and Culture Strategy 2025 is now available for feedback.
Overview
The City of Monash is a linguistically and culturally diverse city with residents from 106 countries, speaking 84 languages. The City is situated on the traditional lands of Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and Bunurong peoples. The diversity of First People’s contemporary culture and heritage throughout Monash is highly respected and valued.
The arts and cultural sector increases opportunities for communities to express identity and form connections. Any advocacy or support for the sector invests in a sector that continues to create positive experiences and social change for Australians.
Help shape the strategy
The City of Monash is now undertaking community engagement to prepare a whole of City strategy to lead the direction of creative and cultural support, programs, events, and initiatives until 2025.
The City is committed to creating a community responsive Arts & Culture Strategy which will inform decision-making regarding the future creative programming and infrastructure needs of the City.
A key driver for this work is to ensure the City’s creative and cultural industries recover and continue to thrive in a post-Covid environment, as well as to maximise the economic, social and cultural impacts that the creative industries bring to the City.
The survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete, and you can go into a draw to win one of 4 prize packs.
We appreciate your time and invite you to leave contact details for future discussions or enter a prize draw, or you may choose to remain anonymous.
